A phenomenon to consider–we can trust a first impression. And others can trust the first impression of us. This is within our control. Mass Appeal Magazine’s contributors educate us on this manner. See how trust and first impressions intersect through transferable skills, boundaries, up-and-coming fame, etc. This month we breakdown imposter syndrome. We uplift following one’s personal journey. Pay attention to the wisdom of others, it improves one’s worldview.

Career Markers

To start, Gene Caballero takes us on a journey from one career path to the next. His skills from the corporate world to the landscaping sphere were found to be nicely “Transferable.” See how Caballero trusted himself as his path twisted in a vastly different direction. A new leaf was turned for the better.

Meanwhile, Jaclyn Beckerman chronicles her career bumps in “910.” “As a jewelry designer and entrepreneur, I initially faced a mountain of judgments and skepticism regarding my ability to build a viable career from my newfound passion for jewelry making,” writes Beckerman. However, she trusted her instincts and those misled first impressions on her career choice melted away.

Young Professionals

“On The Rise” highlights electropop singer-songwriter, Taydem Shoesmith. Discover how her passion brought her to new heights. This first impression of Shoesmith is without a doubt, a positive one.

Now, for the young people—in college or workforce—suffering at the hands of imposter syndrome, “925” is here to remedy that. It’s unfortunately a common occurrence among many.
