Talking it Through with Laissez-Faire

Communicate with ease this month.

It’s never too late or too early to learn effective communication. It makes life easier—in the workplace, at home and even online. The way to adequately communicate is an art form, mixing intention with a laissez-faire attitude. Mass Appeal Magazine’s July contributors have the tools to guide readers in the right direction when it comes to communicating.

Perhaps, humanity’s basis of all communication is body language. Ben Spielberg walks readers through the relationship between the brain and the body in this edition of ‘Body Talk.’ Spielberg has almost a decade in the field of brain-based behavioral health under his belt and studies this very connection.

Nina Jensen gets us talking in her ‘Fuse’ piece. Jensen encourages us to hone-in on workplace discussions. Jenson’s background is perfect for this piece as she has extensive experience in marketing, recruiting, community outreach, and new business growth. For the good of a company and its employees, Jensen shows us how conversations can be a lifesaver.

The same theme pertains to Gail Rudolph’s ‘Noise’ article. Rudolph encourages readers to focus on the art of making boundaries in the workplace. Valuing oneself can be a valuable tool when on the path to a laissez-faire lifestyle. Rudolph not only defines boundary-setting practices but offers a detailed example to assist readers.

Mark Hayes showcases effective communication through ‘Paper’. Hayes offers a method that assists job seekers in interviews. The specific strategy he walks the reader through is helpful on paper, such as a cover letter, or in person, talking with a prospective employer.

Meanwhile, the online world is tackled in July’s ‘Buzz’. Tetiana Sira gives advice to public relations and marketing professionals. Sira, herself, has “faced the challenge of promoting the brand in a positive light despite the negative associations.” Her experience is a helpful tool. Read more to gain insight from her professional wisdom.

As for those constantly online—the social media marketers—Sheena Marundan is here to help. In this month’s ‘Apptitude’, Marundan outlines various social media marketing organizational sites and their tools. This is for anyone on a social media team who feels overwhelmed.
