Finding Confidence In One’s Emotion

Find the confidence to sit with your emotion this October.

Emotion and confidence are closely linked. Positive feelings, like joy, boost confidence, helping us take risks and pursue opportunities. Negative emotions, like fear or doubt, weaken confidence and lead to hesitation. By managing emotions, we can build stronger confidence for tackling challenges and seizing opportunities. Together, Mass Appeal Magazine and its contributors write on this phenomenon. Autumn is a time to rethink your options. Choose confidence in October. No matter what one’s inner or outer world is, find that confidence.

The Inner Emotions

Adam Wood summons a sage man’s words in ‘Affirm.’ That man is Brian Jacques, and the words are from his book, “Taggerung,”. A writer, Jacques understands the power of emotion. He understands tears and what they hold. Get inspired to write his quote on a Post-it or in a journal. Feel.

Next, we talk about the ‘Moral Code’ of talking politics. Chuck Warren outlines talking it through with conviction. An appropriate topic for the upcoming election month this autumn. Find the confidence to discuss your views. Get tips by reading Mass Appeal Magazine.

Then comes Devishi Mitta’s words in ‘Surrender.’ This October, we discuss the power of surrendering to emotion. Tears can be freeing. They can release negative energy. Let Mitta guide you through this practice.

Continuing, read ‘Inside Out.’ Jessica Bloom highlights that changing our future requires challenging past ideas about hiding emotions. Many suppress feelings for acceptance, but vulnerability builds strong connections. To shift behavior, start small. Reconnect with friends. Be honest. Encourage emotional conversations. Self-care is key when openness isn’t always accepted.

Outer Confidence

Take your confidence to the books, too. ‘Bulletproof’ wants to keep you confident with education. Daniel Meursing shares his personal story. Meursing credits education to his confidence. Believe in yourself and your ability to learn this October.

Lastly, we come to ‘Shape.’ As the temperatures cool this autumn, we challenge you to get hot. Let’s try out Hot Yoga! Andrew White walks us through the benefits of stretching the body at higher temperatures. Find the confidence to do Downward Dog at 80 degrees.

To read the entire pieces, look to the Emotion issue of Mass Appeal Magazine. It can be found on our website all month long this October.
