Trust in the Fashion and Beauty of It All

Treat your skin this September.

The month of September may be ever-changing, but we trust it to be so. We trust fall will arrive, school will start, and sweaters will come out of the closet. It’s another season to look and feel put-together. Our contributors and their various backgrounds in skincare, beauty and fashion will provide just that. Mass Appeal Magazine wants to inspire your creativity at the bathroom sink, makeup counter, and shopping malls.

Skincare

To begin, cosmetics brand owner, Oscar Velazquez turns our attention to the ingredients list. In “Skinn,” Velazquez details which chemicals and additives to avoid and which to embrace. It varies from product to product, so study up.

Dr. Anna Chacon gives the skin a much-needed boost with her face mask recipe. As September 22nd marks the first day of autumn, no recipe—skin or otherwise—is complete without apples. Therefore, Chacon’s mask includes the seasonal, nutrient-dense fruit. It pairs nicely when one sits back and relaxes with Molly Pisula’s Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail.

Beauty

Meanwhile, our makeup looks get perfected by Heather Coopersmith in “Face.” A makeup artist for over twenty years, Coopersmith dishes out some helpful eyeshadow tips. She covers shades, blending techniques and brands.

Color not only gets the cosmetics treatment but the hair one as well. In this month’s “Hair Affair,” Krysta Biancone writes for those looking to change up their natural hair shade. Biancone states, “Choosing the perfect color and technique depends on various factors, such as skin tone, personal style, and maintenance preferences.” Note: salon appointment booking not included.

Fashion

When it comes to readers’ closets, Mass Appeal Magazine has them covered, literally. If that previously mentioned sweater you have needs an upgrade, seek the words of Sebastian von Marttens. He speaks on the perks of alpaca wool and its stylish ways. Feel cozy and look sophisticated with September’s ‘Threads.’

For those going back to school—teachers—Sunica Du has the perfect guide for impacting young minds and looking chic. Du provides tip for both men and women in the education field in ‘Dress Code.’ May it be a fruitful, fashionable school year.

For readers on the outdoorsy side, the brand Patagonia is for you. John Smith writes on the technical outerwear and adventure apparel in “Atelier.” Smith states, “For eco-conscious designers and fashion houses, few exemplify the combination of sustainability and stylishness as much as Patagonia.” Be kind to the planet while exploring nature this autumn and look good while doing so.

Lastly, we end with some inspiration. Look to a particularly pink movie for this month’s “Style Icon.” Hari Nef and Kingsley Ben-Adir show their unique tastes in fashion on the red carpet and city streets. Just like their Barbie and Ken counterparts, Nef and Ben-Adir are immensely stylish.
