The flow of life can often move between home and work. Sometimes one impacts the other. Or there’s too much emphasis on one. That’s where the concept of flow comes in. Move through life with rhythm. Give attention to where you see fit. And revel in what brings you joy and confidence. Our writers want to boost your self-esteem tenfold. So, get reading the May 2024 edition of Mass Appeal Magazine.

Confidence At Home

Some may argue home begins in the self. That’s why it’s important to work on one’s self-worth. Enter: ‘Affirm’ and its contributor Davida Rappaport. Build yourself up with words on life’s flow. Rappaport is a spiritual counselor, entertainer, speaker, and tarot instructor with over 40 years of experience working events and counseling people personal growth, self-esteem, dating, and relationships. Let the affirmations sink in.

Then comes ‘Inside Out’ which continues the self-love journey. Abigail Parker wants us to accept life’s ebb and flow. Do so by going outside. Practice self-acceptance. Practice mindfulness and meditation. Parker wants us to go all in for long-lasting confidence.

For those moving through grief, look to ‘Surrender.’ Licensed psychologist Bradie Hansen provides a healing guide. Hansen accounts for busy adults and how to go through the stages at home and even work. Take the time to remember the person. Ask for alone time when needed. Grief can be assisted through. You’re not alone.

Perhaps you’re trying to change up your fitness routine. Look to May’s ‘Shape.’ James de Lacey is an experienced strength and conditioning coach and former one-on-one personal trainer. De Lacey chronicles the history and details of the animal flow workout. It’s a structured system for primal movement patterns and ground-based exercises, promoting strength, flexibility, and mobility. Find the right movement for you this spring.

The Workplace Boost

Stay true to your values. This is underlined in May’s ‘Moral Code.’ Cassandra LeClair takes the reins this month. LeClair covers competing for a promotion among coworkers. It involves complex interpersonal dynamics and communication strategies. Respect, effective communication, and cooperation are essential in navigating this situation. Remind yourself of your worth. And honor the value of the other person. Raise the bar for all involved.

Lastly, Max Shak offers a personal tale in ‘Bulletproof.’ He shares his experience of going through a job layoff. This never has to define a person. Take some time to reflect. Find the motivation. And persevere. A greater opportunity will come your way.
