#image_title

Discipline goes beyond rules and regulations, as the Editor-in-Chief, Davina Douthard, makes the case for discipline’s role in self-love.

Mass Appeal’s latest issue emphasizes the part that discipline plays so well. Even if it’s not as obvious yet, after reading the stories of those who utilized discipline to make strides in their work, home life, health, and the world, one will see that combination of heartfelt goals and the love it takes to reach them. Below, one will find summaries of June’s stories that touch on alleviating others’ grief with technology, building a groom-focused company, living fully after a stroke, finding self-worth with a blog, and becoming a better person. The full stories can be found in Mass Appeal Magazine.

The ‘Arrested Development’ section shines a light on Joseph Schechter and the origins of his company, AFTR. Wanting to alleviate his sister’s grief over their father, who lived states away from his gravesite, Schechter knew that technology could play a part. AFTR lets users view a loved one’s resting place with a live-stream view from a solar-paneled camera. Read more in the magazine to see the small camera’s impact on Schechter’s sister and many others.

For June’s ‘Art of the Game’ section, Mass Appeal found a unique business model created by Dustin Sitar. Wanting to minimize the resource gap for grooms, Sitar explains his business plan and career history and how it all contributed to his success.

Joe Greco made a big, bold move—literally and figuratively—after his massive ischemic stroke, as shown in the ‘I Can’ section. Learn how his choices dictated a promising future full of adventure in Mass Appeal.

Meanwhile, Jena Elhers shows readers what can happen if you let your heart and brain break free from what’s expected of you in ‘Blueprint.’ See what catapulted her well-being? Hint: a blog is involved.

Lastly, Jo Larson finds peace in her personal growth and acknowledges the power of letting the past go. Larson’s empathy for others allowed her to cross ‘A Thin Line’ and tell her story to Mass Appeal Magazine. Gain insight today.
